Well done to all participants on that last "Journey" which was the 41st in the series so far. Perhaps I should be publishing a book on these..
A recent posting on a thread about British railways that were steam, then electric, then reverting to steam traction has made me design a special journey that will celebrate one such railway, in particular.
It will also be an instance of referring to the rules and to make an announcement at the start of the quiz that this journey will start at a CLOSED station.
The journey starts at the closed station of Holcombe Brook
It follows the line of the Bury and Tottington District Railway
It then follows the line of the Manchester, Bury and Rossendale Railway
It then follows the line of the Manchester and Leeds Railway
It then follows the line of the York and North Midland Railway
It then follows the line of the York to Beverley line
The journey ends at the open station of Beverley
As already stated, the first closed station is Holcombe Brook
