A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
Tauchers Platform is the final closed station on this particular journey

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Another one from my stock that I have been compiling.....

The journey starts at the open station of Grimsby Town
It follows the line of the East Lincolnshire Railway
It does NOT include any stations re-opened by the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway
It takes the loop line just south of Louth....with SIX closed stations on it
It then follows the route of the Lincolnshire Loop Line
It then follows the route of the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway
It then follows the route of the Yarmouth to Lowestoft Line
The journey ends at the open station of Lowestoft

The first closed station on this journey is Hainton Street Halt

This is a marathon! I wonder how many days it took to traverse these lines?

Note for a future quiz

The idea of an Oxford to Cambridge journey as suggested is already done, but only as the MIDDLE section of a rather longer journey !
