I had a closure date of 30th July 2005 for this particularly named station.However I have noted your information and thank you for supplying this. It transpires that the main line platforms at Liverpool South Parkway station were built in 2006 on the site of the former Allerton station

Another one from my stock of journeys.......

This journey starts at the open station of Ardgay
It follows the line of the Inverness and Ross-shire Railway
It then follows the line of the Inverness and Aberdeen Junction Railway
The journey ends at the open station of Keith

The first closed station on this journey is Mid Fearn Halt
