A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
We are now going to have a "shortish" journey, but this time with CLOSED stations at the start and the finish of the journey.

We move to North-West England for the next journey

This quiz is number 70 so far...

The journey starts at the CLOSED station of Knott End-on-Sea
It follows the line of the Garstang and Knott End Railway
It then follows the line of the Lancaster and Preston Junction Railway
It then follows the line of the North Union Railway
It then follows the line of the Warrington and Newton Railway
It then follows the line of the Grand Junction Railway
It then follows the line of the Crewe to Derby line
It then follows the line of the GNR Derbyshire and Staffordshire Extension
It then follows the line of the Nottingham Suburban Railway
The journey ends at the CLOSED station of Nottingham Victoria

The first closed station on the journey as stated in the preamble is Knott End-on-Sea

I did wonder about this one, and then checked back to post no. 2282 on p.153 to find an authority which is good enough for me!
