Actually this is a confusing area. I've found a 1948 OS map that shows a halt (unnamed) between Whittington and Oswestry

And I have an uneasy feeling (no more - white dot on the wiki map) that Weston Wharf was goods only

Anyway Llynclys

Edit - the halt was Tinkers Green Halt

Sorry to have been away from the quiz, but I have had to reach into the deepest recesseses of my study, into my archives of published works, where I have confirmed the following:-

Weston Wharf....I have added the required information to the posting that I made that should clarify this matter, as any station that has handled passenger traffic at ANY time can be included.

Do you remember some time ago when Windsor Bridge station had a similar query raised upon it, but documentary evidence exists to prove that matter also. Which goes to prove the point....do not believe everything you read in Wikipedia as being totally and utterly correct.

Tinkers Green Halt....It was not my turn to post this station (in existence from 1939 to 1965) but this was omitted and the posting of Oswestry was made instead by your good self. It is indeed situated in-between Whittington and Oswestry.

We now ignore two currently opened heritage railway station on the line (Llynclys South and Penygarreg Lane and continue with.....

Well I do 'fess up to missing Tinkers Green - I was actually looking, unsuccessfully, for information about Weston Wharf at the time. And yes I agree about wiki - good in some areas, useless in others
