We next move to England for the next journey.....

This is number 2015 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of Wardleworth
It follows the line of the LYR Rochdale to Bacup Line
It then follows the line of the ELR Bacup to Ramsbottom Line...via Stacksteads
It then follows the line of the ELR Ramsbottom to Accrington Line...via Helmshore
It then follows the line of the Blackburn, Burnley, Accrington and Colne Extension Railway...via Huncoat (1st station)
It then follows the line of the Leeds & Bradford Extension Railway...via Foulridge...note 1st and 2nd stations
It then follows the line of the Leeds and Bradford Railway...via Idle
It then follows the line of the North Midland Railway ...via Hunslet
It then follows the line of the East and West Yorkshire Junction Railway...via Stourton
It then follows the line of the Methley Joint Railway...via Lofthouse and Outwood
It then follows the line of the Wakefield, Pontefract and Goole Railway...via Castleford Cutsyke
It then follows the line of the LYR Askern Branch Line...via Womersley
It then follows the line of the Great Northern Railway Main Line...via Arksey
It then follows the line of the SYR Doncaster to Keadby Branch Line...via Kirk Sandall (1st station)...via Thorpe (Old)...via Medge Hall Halt
The journey ends at the closed station of Keadby

The first closed station on this journey is Wardleworth

I will receive confirmation by 18:00 tonight if there will be a bed available on the ward at the hospital, as a result of a telephone call just received.

I have now been telephoned by the hospital to say the "bed situation" is such that no beds are available for purposes of overnight observation. I have been asked to attend early on this coming Wednesday and have been added to that day's schedule in the "elderly medicine" department.
