A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
We next move to Wales for the next journey.....

This is number 1997 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of Benllech and Red Wharf Bay
It follows the line of the Red Wharf Bay Branch Line
It then follows the line of the Anglesey Central Railway...via Holland Arms
It then follows the line of the Chester and Holyhead Railway...via Gaerwen
It then follows the line of the Chester and Crewe Railway...via Waverton (2nd station)...note 1st and 2nd stations
It then follows the line of the Crewe and Shrewsbury Railway...via Gresty
It then follows the line of the Shrewsbury and Welshpool Railway...via Hanwood
It then follows the line of the Oswestry and Newtown Railway...via Buttington
It then follows the line of the Newtown and Machynlleth Railway...via Scafell Halt
It then follows the line of the Aberystwith and Welsh Coast Railway...via Gogarth
It then follows the line of the Carnarvonshire Railway...via Chwilog
It then follows the line of the Carnarvon and Llanberis Railway...via Caernarvon (Morfa)
The journey ends at the closed station of Llanberis

The first closed station on this journey is Benllech and Red Wharf Bay
