A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
We next move to Scotland for the next journey.....

This is number 905 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of Selkirk
It follows the line of the Selkirk and Galashiels Railway
It then follows the line of the Edinburgh and Hawick Railway
It then follows the line of the Border Union Railway
It then follows the line of the Border Counties Railway
It then follows the line of the Newcastle and Carlisle Railway...via the North Wylam loop line
It then follows the line of the Derwent Valley Railway (Co Durham)
It then follows the line of the Lanchester Valley Railway
It then follows the line of the NER Durham to Bishop Auckland Line
It then follows the line of the South Durham & Lancashire Union Railway
It then follows the line of the Eden Valley Railway
It then follows the line of the Cockermouth, Keswick & Penrith Railway
It then follows the line of the Cockermouth and Workington Railway
It then follows the line of the Whitehaven and Furness Junction Railway...as far as Sellafield (no "Corkicle" short-cuts, please)
It then follows the line of the LNWR & FR Joint Railway
The journey ends at the closed station of Woodend

The first closed station on this journey is Selkirk
