INFORMATION

In reply to a "conversation" query I have received, I do confirm that there were Overtown stations on both of the running lines in the referred to area.

The station on the line of the Wishaw and Coltness Railway opened on 8th May 1843 and closed on 1st October 1881

The station on the Caledonian Railway Wishaw Deviation Line opened on 1st January 1881 and closed on 5th October 1942.

In reply to a "conversation" query I have received, I do confirm that there were Overtown stations on both of the running lines in the referred to area.

But (what I seem to see from the maps) on different routes -- one via Motherwell Central, one via Wishaw South? -- or is this "making confusion more confounded"?
