My foul-up indeed -- could blame Dewick's atlas; but it was really me being lazy (and ill-informed about stations between Kemble and Swindon) -- Dewick gives just south of Wadborough, a very-long-closed Pirton station. Am striking out my "Purton".

After pondering: next closed station is indeed Pirton .
