INFORMATION....Now the new station of Kintore is open, but on a different site to the closed railway station, on this and future journeys, the entry should now read " Kintore (1st station)"
The journey starts at the closed station of Portessie
It follows the line of the HR Portessie Branch Line
It then follows the line of the Great North of Scotland Main Line
It then follows the line of the GNoS Denburn Valley Line
It then follows the line of the Aberdeen Railway
It then follows the line of the Arbroath and Forfar Railway
It then follows the line of the Dundee and Arbroath Railway
It then follows the line of the Dundee and Perth Railway
It then follows the line of the Edinburgh and Northern Railway....note 1st and 2nd stations
It then follows the line of the Leven and East of Fife Railway
It then follows the line of the Anstruther and St Andrews Railway
It then follows the line of the St Andrews Railway
It then follows the line of the Edinburgh and Northern Railway....link line only, no closed stations
It then follows the line of the Newport Railway
It then follows the line of the NBR Tay Bridge lines
It then follows the line of the Newburgh and North Fife Railway
It then follows the line of the Edinburgh and Northern Railway...NOTE : Rule 15 applies in order to access the next line
It then follows the line of the Wemyss and Buckhaven Railway
It then follows the line of the Leven Extension Railway
The journey ends at the closed station of Methil
