I've been doing what I can, with any to-the-point info seemingly findable only from Wiki; and from Dewick's Complete Atlas : neither, so far as I can see, being outstandingly effective in providing that commodity. Was a good deal less than clear to me, exactly how the Wilsontown, Morningside & Coltness Ry. is accessed from the routes to its west; and Dewick would seem to be of the opinion that the sequence of stations, heading towards Bathgate, is Bents and then Longridge -- but Dewick's idea of things is quite often idiosyncratic !

An interesting piece of railway here. There were certainly two Morningside stations on or close to the line we have just traversed - Morningside (CR) and Morningside (NBR) but it looks from maps I can find as though both of them were terminal platforms parallel to the single through track. Based on the Wikipedia article there was only a through passenger service between 1845 and 1848. Presumably at this time there was a through station, although early operations made very frequent use of reversals so maybe not!

Off-topic: but my only association concerning "Morningside", had been as a super-posh part of Edinburgh. Until this journey of the game, I'd been totally unaware of this one on the easternmost fringes of the Glasgow conurbation.
