I did look at that this but couldn't find sufficient evidence for its original location other than a little wway south of the current station.

We have used both the first stations at Loughborough and at Barrow-upon-Soar on a number of past journeys on this quiz, so there is a precedent.

I suppose a newly-revealed fact put into print is a legitimate use of knowledge transfer for future journeys. I have sent you a message about the next onward direction to see how you see matters.
Purely for me, and my preferences -- dear Lord, I hope not ! Have been trying to put together a file of rail routes -- info gleaned from previous / ongoing rounds of this game -- to give reference re what are, and are not, qualifying stations.

Don't worry - it's just me! I get more fun from working it out as I go along. The rules are bit ambiguous and overlapping in places and it's good to test things out occasionally and put up with being wrong sometimes.
And "my thing" is, likewise, just me -- where there's any doubt or possible alternative "takes", I usually -- if using my "native sense" -- seem to plump for whatever is wrong !
