OBSERVATIONS NOTED WHILST ON THE PREVIOUS SHEFFIELD AND ROTHERHAM RAILWAY LEG

Between Attercliffe Road and Brightside, there was Grimesthorpe Bridge (1838-1843)

Between Wincobank and Meadowhall and Holmes, there was Blackburn Forge (closed in 1839). There have been past discussions on this station for which Rule 6 is a deciding factor considering the site of the currently open station of Meadowhall which is a total separate entity.

I have been trying to find evidence for the location of the first Chesterfield station (1840 to 1870) but can't so will have to move on to:

OBSERVATION

Chesterfield (1st station ... 1840-1870) was replaced by a new station further to the south, which is the site of the currently open station.

Indeed - but what I couldn't find was evidence for how much further to the south so decided not to claim it.

Derby Nottingham Road (1864 - 1967)
