After Wootton Bassett should we not have continued along the GW Mainline via Bath towards Bristol to join the Bristol & Gloucester Railway rather than deviating onto the South Wales Mainline towards Bristol Parkway? If this turns out to be incorrect then please accept my apologies.

ADJUDICATION

After Wootton Bassett, there was a junction where the GWR South Wales Main Line bifurcated from the line that we are on, the GWR Main Line that runs into Bristol. The two stations of Brinkworth and of Little Somerford unfortunately are on the GWR South Wales Main Line (which we do not traverse on this journey) and need to be struck through
