Longdon is the final closed station before Wellington

Last time I ended a quiz leg, I left matters as "open floor" whilst I thought of some new journeys.
I have come up with a "short-ish" new one, with clues as below:-
It starts at the open station of Blackburn.
It takes a loop line before passing via Colne and Skipton.
It takes the westernly route after Long Preston
After Bentham it takes the route that carried on through a defunct station in Lancaster
It ends at the open station of Morecambe.
The first closed station is............

I thought that the station before the one you named would catch someone out....this is Settle Junction that was opened by the Midland Railway in October 1876 in the hope of using it for traffic exchanges, but these did not materialise, with the result that the Midland railway closed it on 1st November 1877.

No-one appears to come on and set the next new journey ? I have now built up a stock of three to use, so we will move to the South West for the next leg........It starts at the open station of Bristol Temple Meads and carries on down the line to the open station of Plymouth

Long Ashton....(Closed on 6th October 1941 during the Second World War)....This is just for information and there is no requirement to publish any closing date.
