I work at the Steelplant. On my way into work I walk across a bridge over the mainline rail track between Swansea and London.

There's what appears to be an old defunct bridge about 50 yards further up the line. I *think* there's also a station which I assume used to ferry steelworkers back and fore to site.

Anyone know anything about this?

Maybe I'll take and post a few photos to give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

With the photo can you give the precise position on a map.
There are a number of disused lines and stations in the area.

I've included a screenshot of the location with coordinates. I'll try to grab a photo when I have more time. Bit late for work this morning.

The 1956 OS 1:25,000 map available from the National Library of Scotland site at http://maps.nls.uk/view/94816151 shows 'Margam Halt' at about the right location. The footbridge could presumably have been the route to / from the up side platform.
