The previous internal colour scheme was putrid! They look brand new againI really dont see the point of 3/2 seating (okay I do, it ticks the box of the "number of seats provided" on any given route) because the middle seat is very rarely used and just takes up floor space which would be better used for standees. The only thing that could have made them better is replacing the awful seating in the middle carriage with 2/2 seats. Those 3/2 seats are awful and I always avoid the middle carriage as a result.
I thought they'd have fitted LED Marker/ Tail lights on the fronts and perhaps higher density headlights. I always think that they are not bright enough but I could be wrong.
Saw 334020 at Clydebank last night. It's looking pretty. There are pictures at scot-rail.
- Outside reliveried like 006 and 012.
- Halogen "doorstep" lights replaced with LEDs.
- Chairs recovered in Saltire blue and mint-green metalwork repainted white.
- New floors.
- White walls remain, but bottom of walls is now grey. It looks like the walls no longer have fabric/carpeting.
- New internal metal window edges. The original plastic and rubber ones were damaged/vandalised/removed within a few years of service.
- Toilet door painted blue. Carriage end-doors have orange "don't walk into the glass" strip replaced with a blue ScotRail strip, like the 380s.

334020 the first unit.
From ScotRail forums...
Estimated 16/03/12 out of Broadies
New seat covers, floors and relivery plus gangway replacement
I watched 334020 pull in and it didn't look like it had new lights.
