Class 91 at Doncaster?

Hi,

I was at Doncaster today, and having a bit of time to spare I wandered over to Platform 8 to see what was parked in the sidings, there were a few 08s, 47s and there was also a 91.

I was wondering what it was doing at Doncaster, because I would have thought that 91s would only be split from the rest of a train at terminus stations like KGX and LDS, but here it was.

Anyone know whats going on with it?

Its quite common, there is usually one in West Yard ( the one next to p8 ), not entirely sure why though!

Just on a quick note the 47's and 08's have been there for ages :-

We managed to see 47810 head south to Barrow Hill the day we went last Summer but still there are 47813 and 828.

I'm not blaming you, i'm just stating, there's also a BR blue mk 1 there which was last used on the station developement so that disabled passengers can get between passengers, it was brought up by a deltic and paired with an 08!

the 91s are stabled up in the yard before and after they have visted the works for various maintenance programmes! theres often a couple in the shed at a time! round the back of wabtech!
