What happened to the plan for electric traction by DRS on 6L48? Is this going to be resolved at some point?

Thanks

Can you give more information?

When DRS took over the operation of 6L48 from Garston to Dagenham with the cartics, there was a suggestion that they would use the Class 88's on the service. The service is even timed for electric traction, so I'm wondering why is it I only see 66's on the service? Do DRS not have enough 88's to cover the operation?

I seem to recall that there was a bit of a gauging issue within Garston due to some of the tight curves within the terminal there, and it didn't become an issue until it was too late...

Does that suggest they only found out about this gauging issue after one of the 88's was involved in something?

In terms of progress on this matter, 88001 was just sighted by myself on Railcam at Crewe heading for Garston Car Terminal. Maybe another try?
