Is it just me or in one or two of those photos does the 87 look a little to bad to be in service?

Some of them do appear a bit tatty on the outside but looks can be decieving that was the appeal, they had character and you could tell everyone of them apart becuase around that time there where about 4 different liveries in use, These beasts where barely out of service double headed steel and liners by night and express passenger trains by day pure workhorses sadly missed on the West Coast now.:cry:
