A MMU (Multiple Multiple Unit)? :D
Alas, we already have Northern using ”Multi Mode Unit” for the Class 15x replacement fleet.

In any case, back to Class 810s, yes I had gleaned from the above that EMR is operating 10 car (i.e. multiple working) Class 810s with their own traincrew.

Noticed there seems to be a lack of any kind of timetables out of Merchant Park at the moment now that 019 is out, both ECS into Etches and overnight tests. Has there been any issues with the 810s being tested at the moment, or have they just caught up with the assembly line?

7 units currently with in the test shed (4 roads each capable of 2 units), and an unknown amount in the storage building next to it.

OK thanks, maybe more schedules will be made in the coming days then, presuming 020 will be next out

Not seen 020 for a few weeks, seen 022 outside doing static tests recently. Although that doesn't mean anything regards which is next.

Maybe holding back from overloading Etches Park with units as no more diagrams can go over to 810 operation until multiple working gets approved?

Maybe, wouldn’t that mean they then have to wait on the 222s leaving, which aren’t going anywhere for a bit I believe (even though 104 is out of service)

Some point soon 017 should be caught up with all the others ready to be delivered to Etches, still have no clue why it’s still falling behind with production at merchant.

It's out of production and has been for several week.
It is in the hands of Test shed, currently in main test building but has also been outside doing static testing.

810020 has tonight been placed into the 'storage tent', still covered in a lit of quality control stickers and has large amounts of white plastic stuck along the roof side and also lots of blue tape stuck on it

It's not falling behind at all. From what I gather it will still be a while before it's completed and delivered but it's still on schedule

They now have 10 units available for service. They should be running 8 diagrams a day now instead of 5/6.

Also testing is due to resume from Merchants Park tonight after a 2 - 3 week gap

Yeah, although I believe 810006 is having repairs after a fatality last month, and 810011 seems to be out of commission for a bit too, not sure why though. EMR also like to use a passenger-ready unit for the driver training on 3A2X runs (like 810016 today), suddenly you're back down to 7 units, which makes 8 diagrams not likely until they get another unit (unless they decide to use 810008/9 only for driver training and no other units, freeing up a unit for PAX working) and even then, they'll only likely move up to 7 diagrams at most to allow for maintenance of a unit, so until they get more units or 810006 and 11 can be fixed up, i doubt they'll start up a new flow just yet, maybe after 810020 is delivered though in a few weeks (hopefully).
