I see EMR have released their latest video on the Aurora Project: "Episode 3 | Training & Preparation"

Seems to be another Smoke & Mirrors by Transport UK ... Who since last Sunday are now down to just this single Franchise.

Remember on 18th October 2026 this basically all becomes a DaFT issue to resolve with the train supplier, Hitachi.

It would appear there are now timetables for 810014 to test from Newton Aycliffe (5Q08 -> 5Q13) for tonight and tomorrow night.

Does anyone know why 810006 on the 08:32 St Pancras to Sheffield ran as ECS to Derby? Crewing issue perhaps?

By my reckoning, today is the first day that all the 810's which have left Newton Aycliffe have worked on a single day.

006,012 and 013 in passenger service.

003,004,008,009,010,and 011 on test/ECS workings

Any ideas what 011 is on? It won't come up when I search it. I can say all the rest are though

At least some 810s are now showing on Traksy as “125mph EMR Class 810 EMU service”, e.g. 1D61 today, just through Leagrave

Edit: 810012 per RTT, with a nice pic in (very dark) purple, currently running 4 early, which seems unusual

Looks like one of the 810s never made it out of Derby for 1C17 today - 5C17 to Sheffield was canned with ‘PG - Planned not to run, and then 1C17 was cut at Derby due to ‘M8 - Problems with the train’. It never even got a unit allocated to it…

It was meant to be 810006.

Looks like 222014 will be filling in for 810006 on the 11:32.
Luckily there seemed to be 20 out of 22 class 222's out this morning. Any chance 006 or another 810 will resume the diagram before the evening peak?

Hey looks like signalling is gone between Leicester and Market Harborough, guess it's time for the 810s to show their worth to passengers along the Melton - Corby line

Currently on 810013 somewhere between Kettering and Leicester via Melton. Pretty sure it was on electric to Corby and changed on the move. Only issue I would say it the screens and announcements still think we're still calling at Market Harborough.

It was also interesting to see just 810's and 360's in St Pancras when boarding meaning no engine noise.

Problems on the West Coast, East Coast and Midland Main Line today then. It’s a hat trick.

Yeah, diversionary routes do tend to confuse trains a lot. You will still be calling at Leicester though, you'll take the Syston Curve towards leicester then change ends there, taking your normal route northbound.

Nice, I suppose that will be the entire future of EMR and St Pancras

Yes we picked up the service at Leicester. The train manager made sure everyone was ok and informed throughout the journey. My local buses are the same as well in terms of the announcements and screens.

Yes it was a nice glimpse of the future at St Pancras. Hopefully the holding at the end of platform 1 and boarding within 2 mins of the train arriving is a new normal as well.

810011 being swapped at Derby towards Sheffield for 222018. Was onboard it on its outbound trip and we were 10L leaving Sheffield due to a door fault.

No 810 stabling at Cricklewood overnight for tomorrow morning then.

I was on that from Leicester to Derby at 1806. It was absolutely rammed solid with LNER passengers, standing room only.
