Class 805/807 during Trent Valley closure

It seems that the Trent Valley is closed between Rugby and Stafford next week.

(26-31 May)

As a result all Avanti West Coast trains seem to be diverted via Bescot.

Does anyone know if any are booked to be class 805/807s?

Far from all services. 2 Manchesters and a Glasgow. So it should be 390s only. Liverpools run as an extension to a Birmingham.

Thanks, that makes sense, with a thinning out of the service the 80x must be surplus to requirements.

Yes, generally during engineering works such as this, 390s will get used. With the reduction in Euston-Birmingham (well, Liverpool) services to a basic 1tph to allow for the Trent Valley diverts, pretty much all services will be 390s, despite a double 805 being better for standard class capacity.

During the recent Euston blockades, however, the Birmingham service (reduced to a Rugby-Birmingham/Wolves service) was run using one or two 807s and a double 805.

You can't make the timetable work with Birmingham International stops in the Glasgow's

Does seem they're are three 807's out today on the Liverpool Euston's via the west midlands and 2 were on them yesterday.
