What is the status of 710375 now? I don't think I've seen a report of it carrying passengers. Is it parked in the sidings on the DC side of Willesden TMD?

RTT of course gives no clue as to what this is, but I suspect 710374 which went back to Derby at 30 MPH, if so why is it coming back again still at 30 MPH ??
...and why was 710374 turned Derby-Derby a few days ago, was it it get it the right way round for some purpose - has it possibly been reformed ?? Perhaps the car numbers need to be closely examined for evidence of any change !

Most likely to make one usable unit out of the two.
Note Ilford has been spending roughly three months on each of the latter 710s "finishing" them before delivery to Willesden. In the case of 710374 is was recently delievered to Ilford, then sent back at 30mph and very recently turned round (unless that was a coincidence). But a carriage swap is just speculation based on the aforementioned movements of 710374.
I am curious as to know what it was Ilford could not do that means 710374 went back to Derby at 30mph and is now returning South at a similar slow speed. That is regardless of any potential carriage swap.

It was top and tailed with 2 class 37s so the liklihood that this is an unbaked move. I don't believe LO 710's have the ability to translate unlike 720's and 730's.
Has anyone been able to confirm which unit actually came south on 8Q50 last night ? Being an overnight move, I don't suppose many (any?) observers saw it en-route, but it may now be visible at Ilford.

The Strange case of 710374 ! Looking at the history of this unit, it has been about a bit and there are a couple of very intriguing questions regarding it's two turning moves:
08.07.19 reported to be at Velim Test Track, but when did it actually go there (presumably by road/ferry ?):
28.08.19 Dollands Moor to Derby: [Returning to UK from Velim].
16.06.20 Derby to Old Dalby, returned 28.09.20:
04.11.20 Derby to Old Dalby, returned before 22.01.21:
22.01.21 Turned Derby to Derby - but why? - the only reason that I can think of would be to get it the right way round to exchange a carriage (possibly with 720270 which was at Derby Works at this time):
17.05.22 Derby to Old Dalby, returned at unknown date.
24.02.23 Derby to Worksop, returned 16.03.23.
05.06.23 Derby to Ilford (as Class 5 movement):
14.08.23 Ilford to Derby (as Class 8 movement):
01.09.23 Turned again Derby to Derby (was this possibly to get it right way round to re-exchange a carriage previously exchanged with 710270???): [710270 was again at Derby at this time].
05.09.23 Derby to Ilford (as Class 8 movement):
Any confirmation of missing movement dates or corrections, greatfully received, as too any thoughts on my suggestion (and it is only a suggestion) of possible reformations.
If anyone has recorded the carriage numbers actually carried on 710374 or 710270 during this period it might support or deny my suggestion. If there was something wrong with one of these carriages it might go some way to explaing why these two units are so far behind the main batch.

Correction to above: The turning move quoted as 22.01.21, SHOULD READ 22.01.22: [The comment regarding 710270 is still valid]:
Further information discovered, 710374 was at Velim by 04.07.19:

So I presume the return from Old Dalby after it went there on 04.11.2020 is very vague.
It spent less than a month at Worksop (24.02.2023 to 16.03.2023) - why did they bother, maybe could have been a change of plan ?.
Derby 14.08.2023 to 05.09.2023 less than a month with a turn 4 days before departure suggests the turn had something to do with what ever enabled the return to Ilford.
Have any other 710s been moved at such a slow speed - 30 mph ?.

Well 710374 was the previous one to come to Ilford (after an intriguing brief return to Derby). According to my theory 374 should leave Ilford for Willesden as 270 arrives. Like 375 did before that when 374 arrived (the first time). Each 710 spends VERY approximately 3 months being "finished" at Ilford.
I have a feeling that 270 and 374 will be worked on together at Ilford just to break my theory. But these are the last to of the 710s.
Does anyone have a list of which 710/2's have worked out of Liverpool Street? I've had 265,272 and 273 but was wondering if there have been any others. Thanks.

I haven’t had 256, 261, 264, 266 or 268 based on near-daily journeys over the last few years, but there’s a chance one or two of them will have come over and I’ve missed them.
It does tend to be the same units, and they come over for a long period of time rather than ad-hoc. 263, 269 and 273 are the three that have appeared in September so far.
4-car off-peak is the norm; ample capacity. All sets rotate around all branches too, so it’ll be off to Enfield on the 1700 assuming it’s currently on the 1533 (after gaining 4 cars for the peak).

I was surprised to learn that Ilford does a LOT more than commissioning.
I managed to remember to check the coach numbers and 1st, 2nd and 4th looked correct and un-tampered on the North side. Except there was a bit missing from the top of the first coach number - I think the first two digits so 270 was clear. I did not see the 3rd coach as its number was at the other end to the first two and that always fools me - don't they know these numbers are for trainspotters .
so a couple of updates relating to the more recent posts around movements listed above
a) the turning of the train is to get it into the correct formation for software testing - as there are pre requisites for which way round the units are tested at derby
b) the time off site at worksop was nothing more than being stored - due to pressures on site availability at Derby works
c) no vehicles have been exchanged between 374 and 270
d) the most recent trip from Ilford to derby was to support multiple unit software testing
e) 374 /5 and 270 all not accepted and 375 has defo not run in passenger service.
