Does anyone know what reaches of the network the Class 70s have reached yet? I could have sworn I saw one pulling out of Tyne Yard the other day, although it was (literally) a mile away.
Am I just seeing a 66 in Freightliner colours or something?

I saw one up at Elvanfoot on WCML. They're commonplace round Warrington. Saw 2 at Rugeley and some at Eastleigh.

Has one ever passed Cardiff Central on a Freightliner aggregate working? I know that one did pass here when the class was new on a test run from Stoke Gifford Yard to Llandeilo Jc. (nr Trostre steelworks)

Common place now at Carlisle heading north and south, I beleive Falklands yard have had a few in Ayr

As far as I know they were supposed to be closing Falkland Yard, which is a sod because it's just up the road from here!

Tyne Yard is a pretty regular place for them maybe just passing but they do go that way to and from Carlisle. I'd like to see them all on a ship back across the Atlantic. They really are ugly.

They're not really ugly. They look like a proper loco.

Will there ever be any chance of an ETH supply from these locos (well, space to have it fitted?).

A suitably equipped 70 would probably be far more suited to hauling the sleepers North of Edinburgh.

There is always one or two of them in Stoke Gifford Yd. Especially in the evenings!

The Wentloog - Southampton liner until recently was a regular for a 70!

They also do sporadic coal movements out of Portbury to Fiddlers Ferry!

Don't recall one getting to Fairwater or Moorswater yet!

They definitely work coal out of Portbury from time to time but I've yet to see one in Bristol West Depot Freightliner Yard
