CLASS 701 for First/MTR South Western Rwy

The British Rail Class 701 is part of Bombardier's Aventra lineup. It will replace Classes 455;456;458 and 707. It will be built in Derby and enter service presumably in 2019 or 20.

What will the impacts be for the commuter service? What should its features be? Do you think this is a good choice of rolling stock? Discuss

What is there to discuss that hasn't already been in the other thread (titled something like Bombarider Aventra ordered for First MTR - would link it but I'm on mobile) especially when details are so thin on the ground.

Would just say though that the chances of the fleet getting the 701 number are very slim

afaik there's been no official confirmation from either SWR or Bombardier as to what class number has been allocated to them
