Class 700 Urgent Safety Checks ? (08/07/26)

Yesterday (8th July) there was a unit failure at Farringdon (9:30am ish), with disruption expected until 14:30ish. When I travelled into London just after 14:00 the announcement was the service was cancelled due to a lack or rolling stock caused by urgent safety checks.

I am not sure if these issues are related. Does anyone know and more details

GTR's website referred to pantograph issues on some class 700s yesterday.

There were cancellations from first thing yesterday due to this safety issue with the pantographs - something to do with some of them being damaged, which could in turn cause them to pull down the overhead wires (if I remember what I read correctly).
