Just thought i would highlight a link to 70012 at Seaforth.

I read on another forum that the ship, Alantic Concert, has departed Liverpool for Halifax, Canada.

(Seems the rumours that 70013-016 were onboard were unfounded?)

Thats funny its been turned round compared to when it was on the trailer ages ago at Newport. I suppose it might have switched trailers but not sure its a different trailer. Was not aware it had spent time off a trailer - would have saved money so unlikely to have happened .

I read somewhere on the internet, the trailer it rested on in Newport was a not road worthy, the haulage company had no use for it. 70012 was moved onto a road worthy trailer in Newport, positioned the other way around before it was driven up to Liverpool.

For it to have turned round, I'd guess that they possibly took it off one trailer, straight onto another - therefore the trailers would have been pointing opp directions?

Found pic of 70012 sat on a flat car at Enola Yard,Pa(on RailPictures.NetPhoto:70012,photo i.d 370004)taken 22/7/11.Looks like loco now has a second bend in it's frame...

Does look in pretty bad shape and possibly looking worse than before (though that could be because it has been moved a lot recently and its structural rigidity has been somewhat compromised!)
I'm sure the sticker on the front says "Do not hump" - maybe the rest of the class should come with a sticker of "Do not drop"

Catch up at the back! It's now been shipped back and is in GE's hands again. Don't know if they're going to cannibalise then scrap or repair it though.

Here are some pictures from the back yard west of building 63 in GE. It is my understanding that GE plans on rebuilding this loco to use as a test loco

I do remember being told from a freightliner employee, apparently it got dropped again whilst unloading abroad or something like that. 012 obviously isn't a lucky number!

Couldn't have been dropped while unloading, it was on a road trailer to be driven on/off.

Possible though during transfer between said trailer and the wagon it was palced on for trasport by rail?
