Class 70 spotting

Hi guys,

I am from Leicester, and wanted to know if there is any Class 70's set to run either through Leicester or Nuneaton on set days/dates as I would love to see one "in the flesh" as it were.

Not going to be of much help but there was one travelling northbound through Tamworth LL a couple of Saturdays ago at about 6.50pm ish I seem to recall on the down slow.

Not sure if it is a regular occurence or where it came from, but coming that way, I'm thinking there is a high chance if will have been through Nuneaton en route, but HTH

Class 70s are booked to work 4M93 14:15 Felixstowe-Lawley Street (Birmingham) and the 4L69 return Freightliner, and the 4M45 Felixstowe-Ditton (Merseyside) and 4L92 return Freightliner. These will pass through Nuneaton, though it’s quite late in the evening by the time 4M93 reaches the West Midlands.

Further up the Trent Valley, there’s also usually one or two 70s employed on Stoke Gifford-Rugeley Power Station MGR trains, which come up the Chase line from Bescot.
