Class 70 - how are they doing?

I haven't seen much here or in the press about how the Class 70s are doing, and now i read that the next one is almost ready. So i presume they have passed acceptance tests. Any incidents, or mods needed, or are they just settled right in after the usual initial teething trouble?
And no comments about their looks or nicknames, please

There was a mod required as the crankcase breather was getting clogged up with oil, causing crankcase pressure shut downs, due to being bounced around on NR's finest metals. As you know the power unit has only been used in static locations previously, so this was something new to overcome.
Reports I've heard say they're very strong locos and far superior through all speed ranges to a 66.

Just been distracted by hearing something other than the usual class 66 trundling by, glad to see that 70001 has returned to it's usual turn on 4M93 whilst I have been away. Makes a nice change from ying-ying-ying all the time

Was on a busy 318 this evening at Newton (Lanarkshire) when I heard a strange screaming noise coming from the mainline. Looked up and saw 70003 powering by on a freight. Just as ugly in real life as in the pics. This is the first time I've ever seen one in person, and I hope it's the last for a very long time.

I see! Out of interest, and sorry for off topic, but are two loco's allowed to carry the same number? Though i suspect the kettle isn't TOPS of course, or is it? Apologies for a silly question!

The steam loco has a number on tops in the 9xxxx series. It is similar to the A4s which externally have the same number as the class 60s.
