There have been a couple of mag reports recently where DRS have said they are of course looking to bin the heritage fleet. They're looking to the green credentials of the fleet. They want it sems to reduce the 66 fleet and already have, while others are still growing their 66 fleet. The DRS fleet needs to be leaner greener and more efficiently utilised. They're watching the 93 and 99 developments with interest (as you'd expect).
Reference was made to the 68 fleet also being under review and if the TPX fleet (let's be honest something has to give with tpx) and Chiltern fleet are returned it is likely there will be a surplus in the 68fleet. The chap interviewed suggested they could off lease them.
That then begs the question where would the fleet go? A few for the bedZzzz? But does anyone else have a home for an ETH BoBo RA7 medium speed 3800hp diesel?
