I have been told Chiltern Railways have thought of naming their 68s after birds seen along the main line!

Taking advantage of the sushine and only back from Tunisia a few hours, could not resist taking a few pics of 68012 @ Rowley Regis of the 1K57 1715 London Marylebone to Kidderminster running 19mins down.

Heres a few from Friday 12th June at Birmingham Snow Hill & Moor Street then off to Stourbridge Junction. 68001 runs light engine on the morning to Banbury on driver training and 68008 on a London train ending the day back at Stourbridge with 68001 returning to Chilterns out based yard.

Handrails have been fitted to Chiltern locos while i assume at the depot .
notice photos at the beginning of this Thread , DRS locos have them but new Chiltern locos Do not.


Oddly some are smooth grey paint ,some silver ,some locos have a mix and some have knurled grip finish !

No two poundlands have the same stock
