67005 appears to be on route training. According to another forum, although vauge, it appears to be on route learning, supposably for NXEC. It passed on Nottingham-Grantham early yesterday and a 67 has just passed in the other direction (the same one I assume?). And for the first time ever it is thought, 67005 made it to Skegness, which is bizarre as Boston-Skegness is only RA7 IIRC.
So if it is on route learning - for what?

67005 seen on the Joint Line today. East Coast Mainline closed on 8/9 November between Grantham and Newark, NXEC are supposedly diverting through Spalding and Lincoln which is a surprise considering that they normally use bustitution.

GC diverted last time when the East Coast was closed between Grantham and Newark.

Thats brillant, have noticed the route learning on the Joint Line over the past few weeks. Is there any times for HSTs yet. The NXEC website is useless as ever regarding engineering on 8/9 November.

so 'the joint line' is that: come off Grantham towards Nottingham, then round Allington Junction towards Sleaford, then up towards Lincoln and accross to Doncaster?

Joint Line is Werrington Junction (Peterboro) - Spalding - Sleaford avoiding line - Lincoln - Gainsbrough Lea - Doncaster.

All route learning trips have been going to Skegness, yesterday done by 67005 And today done by a red one that i cant remember the number of. This is scheduled to run until friday and then maybe next week, however, why they are going all the way to skegness is beyond me.

any gen for this? they seem to be running at odd times. It is odd they are running right through to skeg, seeing as their axel load is larger than the route's RA (7). Mind you, RA doesn't seem to matter these days - but the Skegness line is rather rubbish in places, so I thought that'd be strict :???:

From Lincoln rail gen:
Apparently EWS have realised 67's are not permitted between Boston and Skegness,
so today 66001 was used on the route learner. Departed from Skegness at 1217.

Peter

66s are RA7 so it seems they managed to work out 67s are banned  66001 being used
