Class 67 liveries

With the recent and ongoing painting of a pool of class 67's in Arriva blue, does anyone else think that the pool used for the Caledonian Sleeper should be painted to match the coaches, much like the 2 or 3 class 90's that are in the livery?

I understand not all the 67's used on the sleeper can be painted, as they change from time to time but I do believe there are a few fitted with some special equipment that run on the West Highland Line, and I have also noticed a few with a little Scottish flag on the front.

I also take into account that the Caledonain Sleeper livery is very much an old livery now, what are the chances of the new ScotRail livery being applied to the sleeper?

Any thoughts?

Painting the 67s in the livery seems pretty pointless, and if they weren't done I'd say the same about the 90s (as I'm sure 1 is in store?)

ScotRail don't even operate them, and that really is my reasoning

I think it'd be a good idea to do the RETB equipped ones at least, since they're the only ones that can be used on the West Highland line, and probably rather more people see them than they do the 90s, which are usually only seen by passengers at Euston on the inward journey (seeing as they're in the dark all the rest of the time), whereas the 67s can be seen in numerous places in Scotland. From a PR point of view I think it'd be a postive move. If I had one of those paint packages it might be interesting to knock up a 67 in the 'Scotland's Railways' livery.

Maybe the argument is that the 67s are used by DBS for other things as well, whereas the Sleepers are about the only thing the 90s are used for.

I think the skips look good in EWS livery, so no. I can't see what's wrong with the loco having a different livery to the stock in any case.

With the Class 67 locos there isn't really a pool specific for the ScotRail sleepers so it would not be practical
However, with the Class 90 locos there is more probability hence why two locos carry this livery

I doubt any more will be repainted until the next franchise period

Hence the main reasons why Virgin decided against having a 90 Reliveried into VTs newer livery...let alone a DB one!...Otherwise, youd probably have ended up with Virgins on the freights, EWS / RfD on the Scotrail Sleepers, and First Scotrail on the Pretendolino - Not the image Virgin or any toc really want's to present!

Welll, the Sleepers is about the only thing the DBS 90s are used with any regularity, isn't it, Virgin using Freightliner?

Possibly, but there's still three in the livery.

Just been checking, I knew there was one out of service, and can only remember there being three so thought EWS was now down to two
I see now it was four, so now down to three, as 90025 is the one in storage
I didn't realise they had painted a fourth, but just to ensure they met their minimum requirement of three in ScotRail livery

Abrail has it listed in this livery, along with 90019 90021 and 90024
Possibly a typing and update error on their website and should RFD

DB will only carry out re paints when Loco s go through works or special requirements such as Arriva! Thus a small number of re paints on class 60s being put back into service. It's a priority to get these Locos bringing in revenue! Colours don't matter!
