Class 57 Liveries

Hi All,

A while ago I decided to assemble a collection of photos of every class 47 livery variant - whilst this is taking a while, it is progressing well.

However, I have now decided to extend this to include Class 57s, and that is where I am a bit stumped.

Essentially, I am struggling to find much information online as to which liveries Class 57s have been painted in, and so I am turning to yourselves to help fill any gaps.

The list below is what I have managed to assemble so far:

Advenza Railfreight.
ATW:
- standard.
- with wording removed.
- with all branding removed.
DRS:
- compass.
- compass with high level numbers.
- compass with cycle tour branding.
- compass with Colas branding.
- 68-style compass.
- cable thieves.
- Northern Belle.
- 20 years of DRS.
First Great Western:
- green with gold band.
- GWR brunswick green.
- GWR brunswick green pre-lining.
- FGW blue.
- GWR 2016 dark green.
Freightliner:
- green/yellow.
Network Rail:
- NR yellow.
Porterbrook:
- purple/grey.
Virgin Trains:
- pre-deliner, with front crest.
- standard, with deliner.
- with branding removed.
West Coast:
- standard maroon.
- lighter maroon with black band.


If anyone is able to add anything to this list, that would be much appreciated.

Porterbrook:
- purple/grey.

There were two versions of Porterbrook. One was a sort-of 'one end white, one end purple' joining at a swoosh (see http://www.whamart.co.uk/photogallery/47807%20Livery.jpg); it was reversed on the other side. The other was body height numbers created with geometric straight lines (see http://www.whamart.co.uk/photogallery/57601%20livery.jpg). In my view this one looked like graffiti!

Edit: I have clumsily seen that the first of these is class 47. I am sure it appeared on the 57 but can't prove it now!

Pretty sure 57 601 at one time had a different version of the purple swoosh livery on each side.

The 57601 version of porterbrook livery was really nice I thought. Definitely striking.

57604 in traditional GWR green and 602 has yellow windscreen washers which although small, stand out ! 604 also carried yellow snowploughs but are now black.It has never carried FGW blue.

You can add 57301 in all over green, although it never emerged from Brush like this before Virgin was applied instead.

57601 had it's large bodyside numbers and Porterbrook branding removed in April 2003 and ran as such until FGW no longer needed it, in January 2004, and it went to West Coast Railway.
