Class 47 Light Engine Move Last Night

Hi

Last Night while i was at Bingley Station and a Class 47 Came Flying Though Around 20 past 9 But i didn't get the Number and also i want to Know where it was going so if anybody could help with the number and where it was going.

It was running away from fires started by delinquent steam locos on the ECML ;)

No idea of the number, but I would guess it was a WCRC machine en route to Carnforth.

It had been despatched from Carnforth earlier in the day to go to Scarborough to rescue a charter train after 6201 had a slight derailment on the turntable. As it turned out they didn't need it as 6201 was re-railed easily and worked the train back so, when you saw it, it was on its way back home.

Did that 47 even work that much of the Scarborough Flyer?
It didn't work any of the Scarborough Flyer. It was sent from Carnforth when the problem occurred, 'just in case' to minimize any delay as far as possible but wasn't needed.
