Can anyone help with this?

What is the capacity of the No.2 end fuel tank on a class 47?

The reason for this question is that a 47 I am involved with is a long range converted one, i.e. 5887 litres (1295 Gallons)

It has the No. 2 tank isolated, and i would like to know what the total capacity is now.

I know that the outside long range tank is 2614 litres (574 Gallons) but as we don't know what the size of the No2 tank is, we don't know what the remaining capacity is.

Any answers?

From http://marksdtmcalib.omegaowners.com/Class_47_Loco/Class_47_Training_Manual.pdf (page 36)

No 1 Tank

1826.96l or 410 gal

No 2 Tank

1818.4l or 400 gal

Also mentions that a shove duff or a 47/8 runs at 1380 gal rather than 1295 gal.

Therefore Tank 3 according to that is 2539.92l or 570 gal.

So anyway according to that training guide you would have 980 gal or 4366.88l with tank 2 isolated.
