Aye, indeed.

Well done Marcus.

You ever been down this way?

Yeah, once a long time ago with my dad when we visited London. I remember getting a slammer from London, can't remember much apart from the bridge. I think we got a newer train back to london (a 465?)

Does anyone know why after Connex removed the Kent Link horizontal maps from above the doors neither they nor SouthEastern (SRA) and Southeastern (Govia) never replaced them with similar versions? They were clear enough and large enough to see in a hurry, unlike the framed route maps inside the vestibules.

In answer to the questions:

AFAIK only the seat covers have been replaced. Not too sure about mechanical changes ...
And the poster frames are the same usual blue ones.

Pics are currently unavailable due to Fotopic suspending my account ... Will upload them to a different site soon.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but 465 019 has been repainted into the new South Easter Livery.

Obviously I was wrong about Southeastern not being able to repaint the Networkers. :) I'm still certain I read the franchise stipulated a mostly-white vanilla livery and, to be fair, it is a little more evolutionary than revolutionary especially when compared to Govia's Southern and London Midland liveries. It looks good though!

Nice pics. Are the cowlings a new design? I know they were added to stop train surfing but I've often wondered if there are two versions fitted to the Networkers, perhaps as a result of their different manufacturing origins.

I think the new livery on the class 465's looks great, but I think they should have kept some sort of stripe along the bottom.

465024 has been reliveried - well, it now has all white livery, the purple doors and no Southeastern branding/logos - like 465177. Are the logos put on at Slade Green/Gillingham?

I was on 465019 the other night. It certainly looked smart and clean. The seat covers were the same but the floors looked clean and the poster frames were square rather than square with rounded edges. I don't know how much work was done to the front cabs as I could clearly see the imprint of the old typeface next to the new numbers.

I think the SE route maps defined the Metro, Express and High Speed routes too. SouthEastern seem to be pushing these three brands on marketinh material but so far only the 395s feature them
on the trains themselves.

Well, for a start it is Metro, Mainline and High Speed. High Speed because those services use HS1. Metro is reasonable name for services within the Metropolitan area.

"Slow" and "medium" would be pretty atrocious brand names!

Sorry my mistake, thought it was Express. So do we think it likely most 376s, 465s and 466s will be adorned with exterior Metro branding and most 375s given Mainline branding or will these sub-divisions be restricted to promotional material?
