I've noticed Dorking appeared to get a lone 458 service this morning (Not sure if this is a regular thing) Does anyone know why? I'd like to see them on the route but just find it strange how it's a one off. Apologies if i've put this in the wrong area of the forums

London, Surrey... bit of a blur round here...
Been quite common since the last of the 707s left, as well as some single 450s and 455s running - although this is a generalisation on the Epsom services that run to both Dorking and Guildford.

As a regular user of this line, the 701s can't come soon enough... on either side - I'd just like to get some decent length trains back!

(Amusingly, on a couple of occasions, RTT have also reported a 4x455 running, so 12 coaches, as well as a 450+455... both of which I am assuming were errors in the data input stage somewhere!)

1D12 (0701 DKG - WAT 0756) has been a booked 10 458 since September last year. Currently, is the only booked working of a 458 to Dorking, once it has gone to Hampton Court and back it forms 2Dxx service to Guildford via Epsom.

Just the one a day normally as they need to be kept to a minimum due to gauging issues in the loop platform, so they must terminate and restart on the up/down lines, which can hold up Southern services and affect available paths.
