Not really, they are Matts own pictures! :lol:

Wasnt this because the drivers couldnt see out the windows when working DOO so the seats were modified and mounted on runners so the driver could slide across to the window?

it was something to do with the driver's seat but precisely what is beyond my memory, I do also recall them being tested on the mainline between Woking and Basingstoke around the same time as the 483 Island Line stock!

The sliding seat that I have never seen anyone use... :lol:

Quite a pointless modification to be honest... Especially if you do use it and forget to clip the seat back properly you can't take Traction Power. :shock:

What looks like a LU battery loco hiding in there as well, somewhat lost!

Edit: or possibly a 483... Makes more sense
