I'm guessing that these were the units which have migrated from the roads nearest the LU lines to the road next to the shed via the wash. Also, you seem to have linked to the 17:28 Guildford to Waterloo service, which managed to loose 10 minutes at Worcester Park somehow, but I digress....

EDIT: I Can't read :( - but I found the first train of the run: http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/Q21325/2014/01/14/advanced

456013 & 456021 have commenced running crew training runs from Strawberry Hill depot to Shepperton via Kingston, not sure how long it'll take.

Units still in green livery but the Southern logos have been removed.

Can't say I'm thrilled at the prospect of working these units... I'll reserve judgment until we start to see the refurbished examples.

Will they be refurbished before entry into service?

Some have already been sent away for overhaul, but as I understand it some will enter service in their current condition. :|

According to Railway Magazine they'll enter service this month. Mind you, the December issue of Today's Railways said the first 458/5s would enter service in December......

They won't start this month, current estimate is March, on the Ascot-Guildford shuttles.

So, three TOCs with units in the same livery! All, to some extent, serving Wimbledon!

No, they'll be used on Inner Suburban services alongside and strengthening 455s. One use will be 10 car Inner Suburban services on the main line side

And Guildford - Ascot, replacing 450s and 458s.
