You could certainly convert them to LHCS, that's exactly what the two losing TPE bidders were going to do, and may yet happen for charter use.

The question is is it economic, and I think the answer to that at present is no when new stock is being offered at low prices.

They share a common bodyshell. That's about it.

Most of a common bodyshell. The bit around the doors is different to cater for sliding doors in the 442/swing doors in the HST.
