Class 44 44008 name

I have it in the back of my mind that when first preserved at Strathspey 44008 was renamed Schiehallion. I remember being quite outraged about this at the time but can’t find any references to it today. Am I going mad?

There's a photo on Flickr dated 2020 of 44008 at Boat of Garten in January 1983, the text with it says "Rumour was this was going to be renamed Schiehallion .... but thankfully that nonsense never happened"
