You get what you pay for and with LSL you do tend to pay a lot!

I paid £49 for that pacer tour I think! And most of their offerings on the Intercity arm of the business are generally priced lower than others offering "enthusiast" type trips. Granted the upper end businesses they run are more expensive but the fact they sell out most of these tours suggests they are providing value for money

This picture shows a class 43 that was in the recycling at work (school) so technically for disposal! It’s interesting how the Inter City 125 is still seen as ‘present’, an example of modern traction, despite being nearly half a century old. A testament to the iconic design and how much of a game changer it was. How long until they will need to change the design of this worksheet - another five years or so?

Because they have been sold to WCRC.

What they plan to do with them we will have to wait and see.

Apart from it not having a yellow front, I think that looks quite good!

Looks fairly classy. Yellow front would definitely help it I think.

There's an HST at the NVR (presume ex-East Midlands) being stripped currently in a paint job that looks something like GNER blue. Any ideas what it's doing there?

I would guess the blue is FGW Blue and that if it is being stripped, it is a parts donor for the operational fleet maintained at the NVR by the 125 Heritage Group

It's definitely EMT, has the EMT style headlights - being repainted/stripped I think. I'd attach photos but from facebook and don't have permission to share

43044 appears to have turned up at Cockshute Sidings in Stoke!

Anybody got any ideas as to why? Anything being dumped there is usually for onward movement to meet its demise - I know there had been some re-jigs of plans but wasn't this power car mentioned to receive the Valenta engine

If the engine room roof has been removed and there are still parts inside that may be needed, then it is logical to cover the roof. Barring some major turn of events, it will not run again.
