Class 421 and Class 455 Released!

Hi all,

I am pleased to announce the release of the Class 421 (4Cig) and Class 455 (un-refurbished) to BRT. They have been sat on my computer for over month now, as I was having trouble with the installers.

Steve emailed me earlier this week asking about them – it was a kick up the backside, so here they are!

These trains are by Steve Thomas, so all credit must go to him for these fantastic new trains.

Next project could be a Greyhound version of the CIG

Seriously though, they're looking really good.

The CIG has mixed feedback.

* 37 point sounds?
* 37 brakes?
* 319 horn?

Other than that, Its a good effort.

The 455 also has mixed feedback.

I have replaced most the sounds with the refurbished 455 that was released earlier. As the version released by BRT uses too many of the class 323 sound set. But apart from that, it was a good ride.

The CIG bell comes from an old Scottish unit (Class 311 I think) and just doesn't sound right, the compressors seem to have a mind of their own and the driver to guard return signal isn't a bell on a CIG/VEP/CEP, the driver used the signal buzzer on the communication phone.

On the 455, the AWS isn't the right type and the door sounds are from a 323.

37 Brakes are realistic for a Mk1 unit.

Yeah but to have point sounds that make it sound like the unit has 6 wheels per bogie?

I simply replaced the sounds with the 156, and it sounds much better

The trains themselves are fine, just need the sounds tweaking a bit.

Thanks they are both very good but the DRA is back to front on the 455.

Train moves when DRA is on.It should move when DRA is off.It would be nice if the DRA lit up as well.That must be a simple bit.
