Another thread of photos from me!

Yesterday, Class 40 No. 40145, recently painted into BR Large Logo livery and named "East Lancashire Railway", hauled an SRPS railtour from Linlithgow to Inverness and return, the homeward journey tavelling via Aberdeen instead of the Highland Mainline. This was almost an exact recreation of the "Moray Mint" railtour I photographed last year, exactly a year yesterday! The only differences being that this time I only saw it at Kirkcaldy, the tour never enetered Edinburgh Waverly at all ( due to engineering works, most railtours cannot enter this year ), and the motive power being a Class 40 instead of a Deltic. I was also glad that, unlike last year, it was a clear night instead of misty, so photos proved much better this year....especially now that I am using a Finepix S5600. As said in the "5 Heriatge Diesels On the Mainline" photo thread, I'm overly impressed with the camera....and have decided that because it's capabilities and more settings and such to try out, I wont be upgrading this Christmas as I usually do.

Anyway, back to the train. Arrived in Kirkcaldy 4 minutes late, and departed 4 minutes late again....but you could hear it working 5 miles away as I stood on the platform in awe. To think years ago I was a die-hard Steam fan who would never touch a diesel....my how times have changed:
