Class 390 Seat Reservations with names?

Just on a Virgin Pendolino and I have noticed the seat reservations now have the passengers name on them as well as if it is reserved or not.

I have never noticed this so I am guessing it must be a new thing, has anyone else noticed this?

I'm sure it used to occur, on VXC Voyagers at least, way back when.

Used to be able to get them on the standard paper reservations too.

You get them with reservations through telesales, as you don't get a reservation slip.

I experienced similar around 5 years ago only every seat had a reservation, except E. The train manager explained that there were technical difficulties as the system had been left in training mode and that these were randomly chosen names.

Any reservation can have a name attached, some reservations (Sleeper trains for example) require name and contact details. Station staff tend not to bother (unless they have to as noted) because there is little point.
