Class 390 at Manchester Oxford Road

Was a bit startled to see an Avanti Class 390, (presumably under its own power) on the Castlefield corridor passing over the bridge just before Manchester Oxford rd coming from Piccadilly, I can't find this movement on realtimetrains. It happened today around 1545. Does anyone know anymore about this? Is this a diversion I don't know about or an ECS?
