Class 387's at Kings X

Hi.

Can anyone tell me where the 387/1s at Kings X go to.

Im trying to work out how many should be in service this saturday for my young son.

The fast Cambridge/King's Lynn trains should be solid 387s, I don't know how much of the slower work they do as that's largely 700s.

Indeed they do, and Cambridge to, on the GN side of Thameslink.

Just had a look at realtime trains, and it appears that (using just Great Northern) there are 3 trains arriving between 11 and 12 saturday.....going to 2 per hour afterwards.

Would these be 4 cars or 8 cars?

Would a journey past Hornsey depot see more?

As per FailedPlan2020, on a Saturday 387s should only be doing fast Kings Lynn / Ely / Cambridge services, plus a couple of fast Peterborough services.

However with the current interim timetable they also work some of the KX-Peterborough services, departing KX at 0518, 0646, 0747, 0846, 1015, 1116, 1216, 1247, 1346, 1616, 1646, 1716, 1846, 2016, 2146, 2216 and 0012. The remainder of the Peterborough service is a mix of 365 and 700.

Any service to Kings Lynn will be 387s, however services terminating at Camridge or Ely are a mix of 365, 387 or 700.

Virtually every service is 8 cars.

Note that this doesn't take account of any engineering works which may result in alterations on the day.
